Achieving excellence in practice involves close attention to what is working and what is not.

A well-established principle of best practice requires attention to client feedback. Benchmark Psychology has developed a monitoring system that uses baselines, benchmarks, and other barometers of effectiveness without losing sight of the complexities of subjectivity and perspective.

Our evidence-based reporting relies on data gathering at each clinical contact (or session) on treatment progress. This session-by-session outcome monitoring then helps us to compare – on an ongoing basis – the effectiveness of your personalised treatment against expected improvements through conventional therapy.

With improved data completeness we are then able to continue with more certainty on a particular treatment pathway, or change tact to improve the outcome.  Benchmark Psychology practitioners will also peer review others’ case loads and discuss approaches and outcomes that have worked for them.

Every quarter Benchmark Psychology aggregates its data to measure the practice’s overall effectiveness in each clinical category. We set specific self-development goals for our therapists and support them with continuous professional development to encourage ongoing learning.
